Privacy policy
The short version: DCMS is self-hosted, so your code, sites and visitor data live on your server, not ours. Here is the long version.

Who we are
DockerCMS.com ("DCMS", "we") provides the DCMS software, this website, and the Customer Portal at portal.dockercms.com. For privacy questions, contact us via the contact form.
This website (dockercms.com)
- No third-party trackers. This site loads no analytics scripts, no ad pixels, no external fonts or CDNs.
- Theme preference. Your light/dark choice is stored in your browser (localStorage and a cookie named dcms_theme). It identifies nothing about you.
- Contact form. When you write to us we store your name, email address, topic and message so we can reply, and we receive the message by email. We keep correspondence as long as needed to handle your request and our legitimate business records.
- Server logs. Standard technical logs (IP address, requested URL, time) may be kept briefly for security and abuse prevention.
The Customer Portal
- Account. Signing in requires only an email address; we send a 6-digit code or magic link through Postmark, our email delivery provider.
- Servers. When you register a server we store its IP address, an optional label, its reported DCMS version and when it last checked in.
- Support tickets. Ticket subjects, messages and replies are stored so we can help you and keep history.
Billing
Pro subscriptions are processed by Stripe. Your card details go to Stripe, never to our servers. We store the subscription status, the plan of each server and Stripe reference identifiers needed to operate your subscription. Stripe's own privacy policy applies to their processing.
The DCMS software on your server
- Self-hosted by design. Your repositories, databases, emails, files and your visitors' data stay on your server. We have no access to them.
- Sign-in emails. Unless you configure your own SMTP, sign-in PINs are delivered through the DCMS mail relay; the request includes your server's IP address and the recipient address, used solely for delivery and abuse prevention.
- License check. If you connect your server to the Customer Portal, it periodically sends a small heartbeat (server IP, panel version, domain) to fetch its plan. Disconnecting stops this.
- Updates. Your server fetches update packages from our release CDN; standard technical logs apply.
- Traffic statistics shown in your panel are computed on your server with an offline geolocation database. Visitor identifiers are hashed and never leave your machine.
Your rights
You can request a copy, correction or deletion of the personal data we hold about you (email, portal account, tickets, billing records) at any time via the contact form. Deleting your portal account does not touch your self-hosted servers.
Changes
If this policy changes, the date above changes with it. Material changes will be announced on this page.
