Terms of service
Plain rules for using the DCMS software, this website and the Customer Portal.
Last updated: 28 July 2026
1. What these terms cover
These terms apply to the DCMS software you install on your own servers, the dockercms.com website, and the Customer Portal at portal.dockercms.com, including Pro subscriptions. By installing the software or using the portal you accept them.
2. The software
- DCMS is self-hosted. You run it on hardware you control and remain responsible for that server, its security updates at the OS level, its backups and what you deploy with it.
- You must have the right to deploy the code and content you deploy. Do not use DCMS to operate illegal services, send spam or host malware.
- We may publish updates, including security updates, which you can install with one click. Skipping updates is your choice and your risk.
3. Free plan
The Free plan includes the full platform with one repository instance per server. We may adjust what Free includes for future installs, but we will not retroactively break what an existing server already runs.
4. Pro subscriptions
- Pro costs 5 EUR per server per month, where a server is one public IP address as registered in the Customer Portal. Prices exclude VAT where applicable.
- Payment runs through Stripe, monthly, cancel anytime. When a subscription ends, the server returns to the Free plan; instances already deployed keep running, and only the ability to create more beyond the Free limit is removed.
- If a payment fails we may suspend the Pro entitlement after the dunning period. We never stop your running instances because of billing.
5. Customer Portal
- One person per account; keep access to your sign-in email secure.
- Register only servers you control. Connecting a server requires a one-time code entered inside that server's own panel.
- Fair-use limits apply to portal APIs and support volume.
6. Your data, your code
Everything you deploy through DCMS stays yours. We claim no rights over your repositories, databases, content or your users' data. Our privacy practices are described in the privacy policy.
7. Warranty and liability
The software is provided "as is", without warranties of any kind, to the extent permitted by law. We are not liable for indirect damages, data loss on your servers, or downtime of services you operate with DCMS. Our total liability for any claim is limited to the subscription fees you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.
8. Termination
You can stop using DCMS at any time; the underlying containers, files and databases on your server remain standard, readable technology. We may suspend portal accounts that abuse the service or violate these terms.
9. Changes
We may update these terms; the date above will change and material changes will be announced on this page. Continued use after a change means acceptance.
